If you're a member, could you do me a favor and put in a link to The One Expression (http://frodolivesin.us/oneexpression)I THINK I did what you asked (a little knowledge is a dangerous thing). Your SITE is actually a wonderful contribution to any Frodo discussion for newbies and educated alike. :k
I am digesting the Hooligan news as well. Hmmmm...I can do the weekend in Chicago I think. Glad to hear about the single One Blood being released. I too have been visiting the site just to hear it. I would be interested in the ORIGINAL version also if anyone has it.
LOVE the recap of your trip :D Pelagia, Achila, ceefour :D . I don't know the make of your vehicle so I'm picturing a trabant :haha: , okay?

Happy birthday, Rikka! Mikey is here as the enforcer, to make sure that everybody is extra-nice to you today.

BunnieBugs: Thanks for the Hooligans update. Im a little concerned by this, however: IF YOU WANT THE MOVIE TO OPEN IN MORE CITIES, MAKE SURE YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS ATTEND DURING THE FIRST WEEKEND. I'm not kidding - this is vital. Don't count on it coming to you if you don't make this effort. If this is true (rather than just scare tactics), does it mean that Odd Lot wont even try to negotiate placement with theaters in any other cities until the results from NYC/Chicago/LA are in? Im not quite sure how distribution works, but it seems to me that even if the film does well in the first three cities, it could take weeks to get to anywhere else, under this scenario. (Achila: Are we going to have to make another New York trip? Maybe this time with ceefour and ylla??)
saile wrote, about the Pittsburgh odyssey: I don't know the make of your vehicle so I'm picturing a trabant No, thank goodness, it was NOT a Trabant; nor did Achila have to share the back seat with an officious bitch (who would probably have eaten all the munchies).

Philip Groenings Die Grosse Stille which, according to an online article in German that Im pretty sure Ive read correctly, is a documentary about Carthusian monks at the monastery of La Grande Chartreuse.
You are right, Pelagia. As far as I know Gröning has been interested in this film project since 1984, and he calls his film a "study of monastical rhythm". It sounds rather fascinating IMHO.

Happy Birthday, Rikka! :)

Frolijah's gobsmacked that the sparkler he lit for Rikka's birthday would be *that* bright.
And in addition ...

All dirty goat-jokes aside...
Happy Birthday Rikka
Thanks EandMe....great pic!
I know I've been quiet for far too long but I really had nothing new or interesting to say!!! I do peek in here on a daily basis
Just got an e-mail...seems I must of commented awhile ago over on the very secret diaries site and I just got an e-mail that someone has picked up the mantle on that. I don't think I'm allowed to post the link here as I'm not sure the whole thing is PG and I admit I haven't really had the time to read it but if you want the link, pm me and I'll be glad to give it to you. I know Pelagia is a fan, as am I. The original was extremely funny and has the kind of humor I'm a big fan of...probably why I'm a Monty Python fan like Achila and Pelagia

yeah Happy Birthday Rikka!! :)
You know, Ylla, that's my favourite from that photoshoot. I didn't like the rest a whole lot. I don't think they really got to his beauty. Somehow he is made to look younger. It's like looking back at him four-five years ago.
I also find myself squirming whenever a photographer is so overtly exploiting Elijah's "prettiness". I like best the photos of him that show a very natural beauty, the glow, something that can't be forced into a photo. Like these:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/Eandme/djphotgenique.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/Eandme/sincitypremierela088im.jpg
So sorry for the hugeness... don't have a resizing program handy. Anyway - my superfave photo of him is the one in my avvie. I think Elijah has a lot more to offer on screen than just perfect features so I don't understand why anyone would want to portray him the teenbopper magazine-way. Perhaps I am the only one who does not enjoy the latest photoshoot that much... (except the one you posted ylla!) in which case you can kill me Kevin-style. :p
Quite apart from this: is anyone here going to Edinburgh for the Film Festival? I am, so it'd be nice to know if I'll be the only Faculite (facultyienne? facultyesse? faculine?) present.
And btw, where is Wood?
